1 - REGULAR MEMBER: Members shall be those who possess M.B.B.S or equivalent qualification with a postgraduate qualification in Haematology/ Clinical Haematology/Haematopathology/ Haemoncology/ Transfusion Medicine They shall be eligible to vote as well as to contest for an office. 2 - FOUNDER MEMBERS: Founder members will be those who qualify for becoming members and have actively participated in the formation of this society. 3 - LIFE MEMBERS: The members will have an option of becoming life members after paying the subscribed dues. Their status will automatically change to “senior member” on attaining the age of 60 years. 4 - ASSOCIATE MEMBERS: Associate members shall be those who possess FCPS/M-Phil/PhD degree in allied specialties (medicine, paediatrics, paeditric oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynaecology/ obstetrics) OR BSc/MSc Nursing/Laboratory Technology with three years of active experience in the field of Haematology/Clinical Haematology/Haem-Oncology/Transfusion Medicine/ Haematopathology. They shall not be eligible to vote or contest for an office. 5 - JUNIOR MEMBER: Junior members shall be those who possess M.B.B.S or equivalent qualification and have been registered for postgraduate course in haematology/ clinical haematology/ haemoncology/ transfusion medicine OR BLT and MLT required for haemoncology / bone marrow transplant nurses undergoing training and laboratory technologists undergoing training. They shall be eligible to vote but will not contest for an office. 6 - SENIOR MEMBER: Senior Members shall be those who have been members of good standing for at least five years and have attained the age of 60 years. They shall be eligible to vote but will not contest for an office. However if a member has been elected to an office before the attaining the age of 60 years, he/she will be eligible for membership and chairs of various committees formed for specific purposes including the Editorial Board of the journal but not of the Executive Committee. They will be exempt from the membership fee. 7 - HONORARY EMBMERS: Honorary members shall be the persons with distinguished services and their membership shall be decided by executive council. They shall not be eligible to vote or contest for an office. They shall be exempt from dues. 8 - CORPORATE MEMBERS: Corporate members will be those who become members on payment of a fee of Rs. 500,000/- for five years. They shall not be eligible to vote or contest for any office.
